Dad Shot Dead by His Wife Days After Posting That Women Were ‘Plotting’ Against Her Marriage-1

A Philadelphia woman is facing murder charges after her husband was found shot to death and left outside the home he once shared with his wife and their three children — just days after she shared an ominous post about women "plotting" against her marriage, according to PEOPLE.

Shot in the Head and Left for Dead

On the morning of March 19, 2025, around 6:58 a.m., Philadelphia police responded to reports of someone screaming on the 800 block of Bells Mill Road in Roxborough. When officers arrived, they found a man lying unresponsive on a plastic sheet between two parked cars. A gun was resting on his chest.

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Jordan Baxter. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at 7:07 a.m. He had been shot in the back of the head. Detectives also found blood on a mattress inside the house Jordan shared with his wife and their three children.

Authorities believe Jordan was shot inside the home and then dragged outside. A neighbor told Fox 29 the couple had been separated and that Jordan was no longer living at the house.

Court Date Set as Wife Faces Multiple Charges

The next day, on March 20, police arrested 39-year-old Danielle Baxter, Jordan's wife. She was charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of crime. Danielle is currently in custody and is expected to appear in court on April 7. Investigators have not yet revealed a motive.

Facebook® Post Points to Potential Motive

Just five days before Jordan was found dead, Danielle posted a message on Facebook that seemed to suggest issues in her marriage.

"These females out here be plotting on your marriage and waiting for your downfall so they can come right on in and these men let them," she wrote.

While police have not officially connected the post to the murder, the timing and content have raised questions about what may have led to the deadly incident.

Remembering Jordan

Jordan was a longtime engineer for SEPTA, Philadelphia's public transportation system. In a statement shared by Fox 29, the agency said, "SEPTA is saddened by the tragic loss of Jordan Baxter, who was a veteran Regional Rail engineer. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time."

A GoFundMe page has been created to help support the couple's children and pay for Jordan's funeral. At the time of writing, the family had exceed their $35,000 goal, ensuring Jordan will receive a proper funeral.
