A Childhood Shrouded in Darkness

Born in 1998 in the impoverished village of Mushahar, Bihar, Amarjeet's early life remains cloaked in obscurity. Details about his family background and upbringing are scarce. However, reports suggest his family struggled financially and lacked access to education.

The first signs of trouble emerged in 2006 when Amarjeet was just 7 years old. He allegedly exhibited disturbing behavior towards his younger siblings, finding amusement in inflicting pain.

A Series of Horrific Acts

In 2007, the unthinkable happened. A 6-month-old baby girl went missing from the village. When police questioned Amarjeet, then 8 years old, he reportedly confessed to strangling the infant and even led authorities to her buried body.

Unfortunately, the murder wasn't an isolated incident. Further investigation revealed that Amarjeet might have been responsible for the murders of two other children, his 6-year-old cousin and younger sister. These killings, however, remained unreported by the family, who believed they were protecting him, until the police investigation into the baby's death.

Due to his age, Amarjeet could not be tried as an adult by Indian law. He was detained in a special facility until he turned 18. Psychologists who evaluated him classified him as a sadist who derived pleasure from inflicting pain.

What became of Amarjeet after his release at the age of 18 remains unclear. Some reports suggest he was given a new identity and reintegrated into society, while others claim his whereabouts are unknown.
